3.0 Known Issues
  • ASIO buffer size should be greater than 512 (10 ms @ 48 KHz) to avoid glitching during playback.
  • Some ASIO devices do not preserve settings after adjusting the ASIO driver controls.
  • When using 32-bit Waves VST plug-ins in SpectraLayers on OS X, you may notice that the plug-in interface is slow to respond to parameter changes and that the plug-in's Editor UI does not allow you to make changes.
  • You may experience anomalies in recorded audio if the playback and record devices are not set to use the same driver type (Options > Devices > Playback and Options > Devices > Record).
  • When using an ASIO device for playback in SpectraLayers on Windows, mono files play through the left channel only.
  • In SpectraLayers on Windows 8, you might see a product registration error when you first start the application. Close the application and start it again to work around this issue.
  • In SpectraLayers on OSX, the last-used folder is not persisted by the Open or Import dialog.
  • In SpectraLayers on OSX, the New Project window can remain in the foreground when opening links to the SpectraLayers help and online video tutorials.
